Deconstructivism in architecture is a development of postmodern architecture that began in the late 1980s. Architect such as Peter Eisenman, Zaha Hadid, Coop Himmelbau, Rem Koolhaas, Frank Gehry, Daniel Libeskind and many more have embraced the movement, but after the exhibition held in New York in 1988 many of the architects who were associated with Deconstructivism have distanced themselves from the term. So, Deconstructivism architecture can be said to be the last styles and you can see that the different between Traditional and Deconstructivism architecture are; Structure vs. chaos, ornament vs. purity, permanence vs. change, reason vs. Intuition.
From these ideas, my major assignment I will focus on the revolution of the style itself and to have the clear understanding of each style. The opening of the movie start with the universe and the big bang theory which created the planets, it then travel through time to see the changed on earth and the style of development that mankind achieved. So, the whole idea is that we can see the history of architecture in 3 minutes movies scene. Some part of the animation may be abstract and some may be apparent to its style. The background music will compliment the animation, the song that I’ll be using in this animation is Struggle for pleasure by Wim Mertens, a very strong narrative song that will fit strongly with the idea of Decontructivism architecture.
